About DevNullKit
DevNullKit is a small, independent collection of developer utilities and references maintained out of Seattle, WA. It exists because the author kept needing the same tools and got tired of searching through ad-laden sites to find them.
Principles
No sign-ups. No paywalls. Tools run entirely in the browser — text you paste into a tool never leaves your machine.
Technical Details
The site is served by a Python application behind a TLS-terminating reverse proxy. Content is rendered server-side. Total infrastructure cost is about $6/month.
The Name
/dev/null is the Unix null device — it accepts data and silently discards it. A fitting metaphor for tools that process your data and then forget it existed.
